As the courts are currently limiting and postponing temporary order hearings due to the Coronavirus, McKinley Irvin’s arbitration services offer another way to quickly obtain family law temporary orders that are enforceable by the court, without needing to schedule a hearing with the court.
Arbitrators Jamie R. Walker, Cameron J. Fleury, Kim Schnuelle, and Theresa R. Lorella will assist parties with obtaining temporary orders using the timelines for motions. However, the firm notes that arbitration has flexibility; if parties agree, timelines can be extended, or shortened.
In compliance with social distancing guidelines, temporary order arbitration will be held remotely via videoconference or teleconference for the safety of all participants.
