McKinley Irvin Awards Family Law Scholarship to Lewis & Clark Students

|

SEATTLE — McKinley Irvin, one of the Pacific Northwest’s largest law firms focused exclusively on divorce and family law, has established a scholarship at the Lewis and Clark Law School. The award provides law students scholarships for three consecutive academic years beginning August of 2012.

McKinley Irvin previously pledged law scholarships to University of Washington and Seattle University students. The firm’s corporate citizenship initiatives expanded this year with the addition of the scholarship to Lewis and Clark this fall.

“The next generations of family law attorneys are learning their trade right now,” said McKinley Irvin Managing Partner David Starks. “At McKinley Irvin, we want to award commitment to family law and help students achieve their academic and professional goals.”

The Lewis and Clark Law Scholarship is a maximum of $7,500 per student, $2,500 being awarded annually for up to three years. The scholarship recipient must meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated academic achievement/minimum GPA of 2.95
  • Demonstrated financial need
