About Jessica Moore

Jessica Moore brings an unusually broad academic background to the practice of law. A magna cum laude graduate of Whitworth University, Jessica earned a B.A. in Economics with minors in Music, Political Science, and Psychology. In the fifteen years she has been practicing law, Jessica claims that, at one time or another, knowledge in all these areas has been relevant to her work.

"Family law is a very active practice area in that our clients—who come to McKinley Irvin with different skills, interests and experiences—change continually. Though the people change and the law itself evolves, the need for capable, considerate legal representation remains constant. It is that kind of representation I want to provide."

Jessica says she was attracted to McKinley Irvin because of the high-quality people affiliated with the firm. Although their styles and methods of practice may differ, in her eyes there exists a common commitment to excellence.

"These attorneys follow the rules and represent their clients with skill and intelligence," notes the Alaska native. "Knowing I can approach them any time for opinions on a possible course of action gives me a good deal of confidence. Beyond that, they are great people."

Jessica serves clients from our law office in Seattle, particularly those involving complex financial divorce matters.

Among the traits Jessica says she most admires in her colleagues, including McKinley Irvin partner Jennifer Payseno with whom she works directly, are the capacity to remain cordial in contested cases, knowledge of applicable court rules and procedures (and the aptitude to apply them properly), attention to detail, and a commitment to deal in good faith--including a willingness to avoid unnecessary litigation.
